Not in Iceland yet...

This morning one of my camera club pals (who's also on the Iceland trip) gave me a lift to Edinburgh as our flight was booked from there. In spite of the bad weather the journey was easy.

Not so the flight - or eventual lack of it! They kept changing the estimated time of the flight, firstly to 30 minutes late, then gradually up to 2 hours late, then back to the original time. Then they announced the wrong gate. Then they said it was delayed again. Eventually they said it was cancelled, then 2-3 minutes later said it might be on after all.

About 45 minutes later they finally cancelled it for good, with a replacement flight booked for tomorrow afternoon. Then they tried unsuccessfully to arrange hotel accommodation for all the passengers - not easy on a Saturday with a big rugby match on tomorrow and Edinburgh Christmas Market in full swing. So they begged us to make our own accommodation arrangements and promised to refund it. Eventually 3 of us managed to get an AirBnB house about 4 miles from the airport. An Uber then took us to a nearby pub where we each had a delicious steak and ale pie 

So that's a long story to explain this blip!  ;-))
