2024 Friday — Belated Birthday
We did the short drive to San Luis Obispo today to pick-up a prescription for the pups at Costco’s pharmacy. Their prices are the best. Then next door to Costco, I did a quick run through Home Depot to purchase a 4-pack of "furniture slides." For weeks I have been pushing and shoving our little twin sized sofa sleeper from the foot of my bed to the door of our bedroom. It fits wonderfully in our room and the pups jump up on it at night and then over the top to our bed. During the day it sits closer to the front room where there is a fabulous view. BUT it is so heavy. So I got the bright idea to look for some furniture slides AND they work marvelously. The plastic slides on the carpet and the legs of the sofa rest on a piece of hard rubber which is glued to the inside of the plastic slide. This makes all the difference; now the sofa slides like it is on ice. Woohoo!
We arrived home to find one piece of mail addressed to me and no return address. So the intrigue was tremendous wondering who had sent me something and what was in the envelope. What a surprise! A belated birthday wish from my dear friend Peggy, the artist. I was extra surprised because the postmark revealed it came from Orange County, California and I thought Peggy and her hubby were in Little Rock visiting their son who had their two grandkids. So I never even guessed it was from Peg. She had beautifully painted a bookmark and the other side of her card had the same paint design.
From California's Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
