First snow of the season 2024/5

I was disappointed that there was no snow on the ground when I first opened our bedroom shutters this morning. I climbed back into bed for a lie-in.

However, not long afterwards, Mr hazelh announced the happy news that it was now snowing with the white stuff settling on the lawn and beds in our back garden. Conscious that it might not last long, I pulled on a pair of boots and crossed the road to our shared garden to capture a blip of snow on the bare branches of one of the trees.

Today has been one of rest. My main accomplishments are to have (1) made three Christmas puddings and (2) started my work on our Christmas newsletter. I hope to finish (2) tomorrow.

Exercise today: none (rest day).
