Snoozing'...
Busy house again today!
Tesco delivery then Lewis was here first thing to service Alan's car, then at 11am the physio and OT arrived to try out a sleep system for Alan. We've never been convinced that he needs such a thing as he can change position easily in bed when asleep and certainly doesn't have any problem staying asleep, but they were keen to let us see it and we didn't want to say no just incase it could offer him something.
The system involves various specially shaped cushions for legs, and hip supports. Once it was set up Alan came through to try it out. He loves the physio and the OT so he was charm personified. Got him all positioned and he looked very comfortable and he said he was comfortable, but after a few minutes he attempted to move and it all went a bit pear shaped. Re-positioned him but again, after a minute or two, he wanted to move and the carefully positioned supports were useless.
They've left the system with us to try again but we're not sure it will be any good for him. The knee cushion might be good when he's sitting in bed watching tv or when he's ill, but as a sleep system it's not suitable.
After lunch my lovely cleaning lady L arrived. I am delighted with how the living room carpet has come up after she cleaned it on Tuesday but she is such a perfectionist, she felt it could have been better. I certainly have no complaints.
L had just gone when our new tumble drier arrived. The broken one will be fixed in 10 days and will be used as back up as it's impossible being without one.
Early dinner then D headed out to see Karnataka with Keith & Mairi. Not my cup of tea :-) I watched two episodes of Portrait Artist of the Year and got the baby blanket finished. Yay! Just a baby hat and a little cardigan to crochet to complete the set. I've never crocheted a baby cardigan before so not sure how successful it will be.
Lola spent the evening snoozing on the sofa, exhausted after a day full of lots of comings and goings.
