Seasonal skating

This is the skating rink which is put up at Somerset House in London every Christmas. I think it must have started 20 years or so ago as I recall that my youngest daughter had a birthday gathering at the rink in her mid-teens. Her birthday is on 20 December so it always coincides with seasonal festivities. It did become a regular event in the family Christmas-tide calendar,  especially when I worked nearby, and I was always pleased to stay on my feet for the duration of the session. It's been a while, though, since I strapped on a pair of ice skates.
