Friday: Waiting for Storm Bert

Still chilly around 4°C and lots of short, sharp showers of rain and sleet.

I made meatballs for MrD’s dinner tonight and whilst in the mood peeled a large bowl of pickling onions which are now being salted before adding them to their spicy vinegar tomorrow.

Bert will be the second named storm of this winter, apparently peaking on Monday… :-(( but the latest weather map showing the storm arriving in Anglesey tomorrow morning.

I went outside for 10 minutes this afternoon to clear leaves off the steps underneath the twisted hazel, all the leaves onto the garden to provide mulch and cover for the insects and other wildlife.

MrD on deliveries all day and managed to avoid getting wet :-)

Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
