The Golf Club

After making an opticians appointment in person, I took a detour home from Monmouth to The Hendre, Monmouth (South Wales, UK) where The Rolls of Monmouth Golf Club (1776AD) is situated.

It's the former home of Mr C S Rolls (of Rolls Royce fame) who was the first Briton to be killed in a powered aircraft in July 1910 in Bournemouth (UK) when flying a Wright Flyer aircraft!  More history here
