Everyday Life

Tree!

Last night Brian and I watched an excellent horror film. It was called Die Alone (not hugely relevant to the plot!)   It had an apocalyptic future setting where the world was in the grip of a plant based viral pandemic due to the planet fighting back against humans that it had come to recognise as a parasite. It's about human relationships too, one of the best plots of any horror movie I've seen.

There were no trees like this in the film, but after work today I had no Blip. I'd noticed this a while ago and as Brian brought me home from work I got him to stop near it so I could get a photo.

So you may recall that at the end of last month I mentioned a Bombshell that had really taken the wind out of our sails. The observant will also have noticed that Brian has had quite a long time off work.

We had not been allowed to say anything until today. After 36 years working for the company he was made redundant! It was completely out of the blue and unexpected.

He's on gardening leave until the end of the month, then he will be able to start looking for another job But the legal aspect is all wrapped up now, and today he went into work to clear his desk. He also came to the van for a sausage butty on the house!

It's good that it's now out in the open as speculation was rife and the rumour mill sails were spinning like a gale was blowing!
