Everyday Life

Day Moonlight

It has been a bright and sunny day though still very cold today. We had a walk along the river bank after lunch in order to get exercise and find Blips.

Before you can even access the river path now you have to walk halfway to town and back because of the huge, stupid fence they have put up to stop people walking over the bridge closest to us. Apparently it is "unstable" and maybe it is for vehicles,  especially large vans etc. but for people to walk over I'm sure it is absolutely fine. It would be possible to have pedestrian access without vehicle access I am sure, but they don't want anyone to use it. The fence itself must weigh more than about 6 people!

Anyway, we walked a mega long way down the path once we got to it, and saw various little birds, cormorants and a heron (briefly!) We also saw the Red Arrows aerobatic team practising. I got photos of none of those! But I do like this shot I took of the moon because of the the glow the sunlight gives the bare branches.

More tidying, decluttering and hoovering has also happened today. In the process our stash of Christmas cards and wrapping paper came to light. Next week we will do a good clean downstairs and put up the decorations towards the end of the week - it's almost December then!
