Cyclamen
This morning sees us having brunch with friends at Bryn’s Porth Eirias restaurant. It’s situated on the prom overlooking the beach and I’ve no idea why I don’t take the opportunity to photograph the shoreline which looks quite magnificent in the sunshine accompanying a break in the weather.
It’s unusual for me to miss photo opportunities like this, and all I can put it down to is my current state of mind which is obsessing about travel arrangements - both in terms of packing and in terms of what we will be doing when we get there. Packing is always fairly last minute for me, but I usually feel more organised when it comes to travel.
Our first week is taken care of; we have a couple of days in Mumbai then an independent tour of part of Maharashtra. Then the easy bit: we join a cruise ship which will take us to Singapore where we change ships to sail to Tokyo. Finally there are two weeks in Japan. I’ve booked our hotels, but not our transport; neither have I managed to sort out any tours etc that we may wish to take. I know some people like to just ‘follow their noses’ and decide on itineraries on a day by day basis, but I can’t do that! Generally, I really enjoy researching and planning our travel, but right now, I’m wishing that we’d just used a travel agent and got them to sort it all for us! I’m hoping it will all just click into place eventually, but for now my head feels scrambled! And our imminent weekend in London isn’t helping - but I only have myself to blame!
So not the most exciting blip today: a cyclamen against the remnants of the snow/hail that fell last night.
