Tractor Wednesday….

Another frosty day , down to -4 first thing.
Managed to get my spring calving cows and calves in to wean them. The calves got their second pneumonia vaccine and their backs clipped to stop them sweating , then shut them in the slatted shed.
The cows will stay shut in another shed until the roar is off them . Stevie is coming to PD them on Saturday morning so will probably leave them in until Monday.
The postie delivered two big heavy parcels at lunch time. They contained the new bits for the slurry tanker after my weekend of wrecking things !
Got Kev to give me a hand to fit the valve as it was a job needing 3 hands.
Mrs F and Littlemiss off to see the school musical tonight. This year it’s Bugsy Malone.
I headed off to Rickerby’s open evening at Dunbar.
A bit of a sales pitch to sit through then a good look round all the shiny new tractors I can’t afford and a couple of hog roast rolls before heading home.
It was -1 at Dunbar. It’s -4 back here up in the hills ….
