The Years Roll By

The Amazon delivery man came today and brought mrsfb's 2024 Christmas notebook, the one in the middle at the bottom. She's been keeping Christmas records in separate notebooks since 1985. Topics covered are special cards, other cards, wrapping paper, presents, decorations, food, drink, and last but not least a daily events diary (from early December to early January).

I got all the old notebooks down from the loft to keep the new one company.

In other news we spent an enjoyable afternoon at a M&S's house catching up with news from them and some other friends, V&G. It is V's 70th birthday next year and to mark the occasion they are going on a trip to China. If only I could get mrsfb to indicate what she would like to do when she likewise gets to that ripe old age next year, in January. So far the best suggestion we've got is a show in London. We are definitely not adventurous enough to think about China.

I forgot to record yesterday that we at last got to see our dentist late afternoon. Now that we are non-NHS we get a much more extensive check up with all sorts of X-rays and cameras. As a result we both need fillings, not urgent so booked for next year now. I'm off to see the hygienist tomorrow though, mrsfb the following week as we couldn't get appointments on the same day.
