Another day…
Another giraffe…
There are plenty of them about.
And we are finding, as many of the Kruger groups are saying, that after the rain a couple of weeks ago, sightings of many beasties are difficult.
We are now in Oliphants which is not so far from Letaba so we took a slow drive just stopping and watching. Many giraffe on the rocky points enjoying the new green leaves. And Ellie’s in the distance enjoying the mud that is in abundance.
I have added some extras, including a baobab for S. There was an unusual plant too but hard to believe that it’s a Fremont’s Deathcamas given its normal location. Any ideas?
We have a lovely view over the river below our bungalow that kept us busy for a while as we enjoyed the breeze from being high up brought.
I took myself off for a short before sunset drive and got a fleeting glimpse of a leopard in the dry long grass. It was like a ghost, three paces, and then it just disappeared. But it was great wee sighting while it lasted.
