Splash

On the second day of the Lakeland Photographic Holiday we visited Grasmere Lake where the sky was dramatically grey and in the same morning there had been lightning so we were lucky to not have been soaked/ struck by lightning! After lunch we chose to skim rocks and the splashes that resulted from the rocks hitting the water inspired me to take a shot of still water splashes. A low aperture enabled there to be a small depth of field so therefore the focus was on the water. To take the photo I threw a group of rocks into the water and pressed the shutter.
