Defiant

Woke up to a sunny , frosty morning.
Fabulous icy patterns on the conservatory roof.
Elaine went home after breakfast and l made my salads for the next four days then went to Zumba.
A few of us went for coffee afterward and on the way l passed the flower tubs next to the war memorial ( just been panted up before last Sunday by the local school where my daughter teaches) and loved this little viola defiantly braving the cold.
Home l did a quick shopping list.
Went to post off some Vinted and got my shopping.
Had a bath when l got home and am now in my ‘longewear’ even though it’s only mid afternoon.
Done a wash, no chance of it going outside but it’s only exercise gear and second skins which dry really fast.
Snow predicted for later today and overnight. Some headlines are very alarmist but on further reading it’s expected only on high ground so l am paying no attention to it…. expect l will be able to get the train into Leeds for ballet tomorrow morning…
I may have to eat my words!
