Golden Acre
As it was a pleasant morning l suggested that Elaine and l went to Golden Acre to see the last hurrah of autumn colours.
The cold snap that is approaching will see off the last of the leaves.
Caught the bus there and back, timing our outing with the app that tells me where our bus is and when it will arrive at our chosen bus stop.
We enjoyed the walk, peace and quiet.
We sat in two different bird hides watching the wildlife.
My blip is of Adel Dam.
We saw a Roeback deer leave the reserve into the neighbouring fields and although we could hear others in the dense hedge they didn’t come out.
Decided to have a coffee back in my village at CockPit Farm tearooms.
It was raining as we left the cafe.
Then back to mine for a quick change and brush up then into Ilkley to Friends of Ham where we both had the pastrami and blue cheese grilled sandwich with a bottle of red.
Home now and already in our PJs ready for the Strictly results- no spoilers please!
