Alstromeria

I have 8 clumps of alstromerias, all slightly different colours. They are great for picking as they last for ages inside. These have replaced the peonies which don’t last long. Both of these plants are easy once they are established. 

It’s been pretty hot and windy again today but we enjoyed a good fall of rain from the storms yesterday. I did some more repairs to my brick borders and mulched some of the garden. 

We purchased a new type of air fryer last week and I’m going to have a go cooking tea in it tonight. We already have an old version which we use a lot, but Bob wanted a new one. He loves buying appliances where I am happy with the old stuff. 

I’ve done 3 loads of washing and some ironing too (goodness me). I don’t get the iron out very often. 

Extra is a book I have just read, I’m not recommending it as it is a bit OTT. The goodies were just too nice and clever and the baddies were too bad. The situation they got into was unrealistic but it would make a good Hollywood chic flick or to read on a plane.
