Welcome outing

We managed to drive to the nearby Roding Valley Meadows for a walk to the lake this afternoon. We weren’t out for very long, but it was a welcome outing for me, and gave me such a lift.

Earlier in the day there had been quite a bit of blue sky but, by the time we’d had a light lunch and then set off in the car, the sky had clouded over and there wasn’t a lot of colour. I took quite a few shots around the lake but it was when we were walking back to the car that I suddenly spotted a possible photo opportunity and darted away from Smithers down a path leading to the river. It turned out to be my favourite of all the ones I took this afternoon, but I’ve put a few of the others into extras as I have a lot of extras to use up.
