The happy couple
What a wonderful day, I can’t begin to describe all that happened. It all went to plan.
We had guests from Canada, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, USA and UK. Everyone arrived in time, no delayed flights thank goodness.
We returned to the Hall and Barn at which we are all staying, for the reception. The rest of the day of activities was planned. I was so pleased that I could retire to our room for a rest when I was flagging, to recharge the battery for about 20 minutes, then back to the dancing. It was after midnight before we went to bed and I’d had a chance to speak to lots of the guests who had been complete strangers before today.
S’s sisters made a video of R & S as youngsters from photos that they had obtained from family and friends. It was superb and so funny at times.
Even the youngsters were well catered for with activities.
This morning we were a family of three and now we have been warmly welcomed into a much bigger family. The challenge is to learn the names and pronunciation of the Danish members of the family.
