Ludlow
A stop off at Ludlow on the way to Stourport-on-Severn to stay with my niece again . We came off the motorway at Gloucester and it was a beautiful route through the Herefordshire countryside .
Clee Hill looked beautiful in its Autumn colours .
The ‘blue remembered hills ‘ of A.E.Houseman :
Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
