It’s definitely Christmas cactus time

Judging by the blips posted by lots of other people recently. It’s not particularly loveable when it’s not flowering, so tends to get a bit tucked away.  Nevertheless, twice a year it does this, and is most precious. 
I’m trying to do a lot less - having been dashing about far too much recently. So now finding things a bit dull:) Though I’m comfortable and cosy and have plenty of nice things to do indoors. I’ve upped my game with the bird food, as they seem to be really needing it now.  I’ve got 5 different foods in the trees, and two on the ground - seeds and dried worms. The exciting thing is I’m now being visited by a greater spotted woodpecker several times a day. 
Ideally, I would show you a photo - but it’s the shyest bird imaginable. It tries to remain behind the trunk and the branches as far as possible.  And once it’s on the feeder - if I make the tiniest movement inside the kitchen, it’s off! Those blippers who show beautiful bird photos - I don’t know how you do it. I’m going to have to build a hide in my garden….
