The last rose

This morning I had my second shingles vaccination. This new vaccination is given in two doses, about 6 months apart. 
Then we drove up to my mother's old house near Watford which is where I photographed this last solitary rose in the garden. 
We had an excited phone call from our friend P who had open heart surgery a week ago, and has just been allowed home. We are all amazed at how well he is recovering.

Unfortunately, in the evening I started to feel quite unwell: very cold and shivery, which I assume is a reaction to the vaccination , so it was an early bedtime for me.

Back blipped on 16th - I'm  feeling much better today!
