Christmas cactus

My Christmas cactus is now looking its best so it deserves being Blipped again. 
This morning we met my old boss D in town for a coffee. We've known each other for over forty years since he offered me a job when I left uni. Sadly he was widowed recently for the second time but he is very stoical.  It was good to see him. We talked about our recent trip to NZ and Australia as he has been to these countries too. 
This evening we attended a Wildlife Trust meeting where the talk was about hardy orchids and how difficult they can be to identify as they hybridise so readily!
A lot of people have reported that orchids especially bee orchids have popped up in their gardens over the few years. The key is not to be too neat and tidy and to not mow the lawn until September.
