Rambles Round Glasgow
An efficient and entertaining Glasgow Ramblers AGM in Govan. The business element was dealt with in under and an hour and the remainder of the morning was a presentation and Q&A with historian Karen Murarasi who has updated Hugh MacDonald’s Rambles Round Glasgow. A fascinating travelogue of Victorian Glasgow, and now refreshed for 21st century walkers.
After a picnic lunch in the Pearce Institute we all trouped across the new Govan/ Partick bridge and followed the Kelvin river to the Botanics and the Kelvingrove. The turnout was so high that we ended up with two groups one going clockwise and the other anti-clockwise.
