Turkish quarter

A free day today and an opportunity to explore Paphos. After an unexpectedly good yoga session I walked with R into the main harbour area, I continued along the coastal path and eventually arrived in Paphos Old Town. One of my favourite places is the Turkish quarter - Moutalos with its impressive mosque, restored but not, as far as I am aware, a place of worship.

After coffee and excellent carrot cake, I had hoped for orange pie however the owner explained that the oranges won’t be sweet enough for this delectable pastry for a few weeks, I walked back down to the harbour and explored the new overhead walkway that links the outskirts of the archaeological park with Fabrica Hill and the catacombs.
