The madness...

... that is our local garden centre at this time of year. Potted Christmas trees for £49.  Shelves full of plastic decorations and a truly alarming display with animated reindeer. Edit: I have made it look even crazier by doing a double exposure.
Normally I find this place quite a haven, with its arrays of plants, seeds and tools. Today it was a quick dash in and out, threading my way through the Christmas stuff, to pick up some wild bird seed and a few bulbs.
Then, a far more pleasurable couple of hours in the garden, digging out one of the compost bins. Small pleasures.
