Calendula

Today's the day ...................... to brighten up

This happy-go-lucky, bright orange calendula or pot marigold is still in flower in the garden - and, in fact, there are very few months in the year when it isn't.

It has been around in the herbalist's garden since the 16th century - a highly-revered herb that has gained in popularity over time.  Traditionally, calendula was used to support skin conditions, promote wound healing, release tension in the body, and prevent infections. As an edible herb, calendula flowers and leaves are often used in various cuisines, particularly in salads.  If you are interested in learning more, you can find it here.

Today, it fairly brightened up a rather gloomy, misty sort of a day .................!
