Cafe & Deli...

... the only two words handwritten on a small sign placed on the road side to alert passers-by to this amazing gem in Shamley Green! The Speckeldy Hen is not a quaint café which serves up great food and drinks I've not seen before on a menu, all in their Shabby Chic style décor. We ate in the back courtyard that had wonderful LARGE umbrellas! Took Eileen for a meal as she drove down to the Lodge to deliver my luggage!!

Got back from London just after midnight so I still have to do yesterday's blip as well as some big catching up. Travelling to Trowbridge/Bath tomorrow so it may be some time yet! Loving the cooler temps WITH the sunshine and blue skies. Perfect. The Lodge is wonderful and keeps so well!
