Heading South..

..not me..drat ... but this special visitor to my feeders today! 

There has been a lot of action at the feeders lately with the usual winter residents, but this fellow was an unexpected guest. I just happened to look out the front window at the right time..and there he was..tucked into the euonymus bush, munching on berries. 

I figured I would have to settle for a head shot as he then flew away, but later he discovered the feeders at the back and once again I happened to be looking out the window and spied him; hence the photo I had hoped for! (extra) 

PS: Yes, I do spend a lot of time looking out my windows these days, and yes, it often pays off!
