Cranes

Today we journeyed through fog, sunshine, violent thunderstorms and floods to visit a friend who has just had an emergency brain operation at the Southern General Hospital and so this is an emergency blip.
The cranes are constructing the new South Glasgow Hospitals which will replace the present hospital and the children's hospital in two years' time. The plans are for a brand new 14 floor hospital with 1109 beds and a Children's Hospital of 256 beds in 5 storeys. It sounds as if it is going to be a marvellous place with state of the art facilities but I am sure my friend hopes she doesn't have to be admitted there.
