Wishful thinking I know, as does everyone reading this. We used to have regular mechanised pavement leaf sweeping by the council but we have not seen any for a while. The last period of heavy rain saw this sized accumulation of leaves blamed for the flooding at Market Strand through clogging the drains, I put as many leaves as there was room for in the garden waste bin but it barely made a dent and seconds after this photo was taken a breeze burst scattered some leaves back down the path.
Not to worry.
Rugby Club during the morning, with no home match at the weekend an easy few hours. Water leak fixed, redundant wall fittings removed and Volunteers Christmas Lunch discussed.

Another shift on the Poppy Stall this afternoon, slow and steady, people are amazingly generous.
