Out In Force
I have mentioned before that Wednesday is fast becoming my favourite day, each time I walk through to the kitchen I glance at the family calendar and my Wednesdays rarely have anything written in. There is, like today, the Epic ‘Club’ row but that, again like today, is optional.
We had the dreaded 10 to row today and owing to the tides it was an early 1000 start. Seven in the gig and the unlucky three in the skiff. Whilst the seven enjoyed a reasonable row to the harbour and back the three seemed to struggle to make any headway and barely got anywhere up the river.
The Border Force launch pictured came out behind us and followed us down to the harbour and then headed on out away to its next overnight stop I’d guess.
On the way home I nipped into the rugby club and fitted the new pads to the defibrillator to bring it back to its stand-by mode, (available for use), it’s been out of action for around ten days.
I know you cannot put a price on someone’s life but every time it’s used it costs the club £200.
