Room with a view

This was my late afternoon view from my bedroom window. I do enjoy being surrounded by hills and especially so on nights like this.

Today has been busy - a meeting with VC to work on a presentation we are giving at the end of the month, my Pitlochry Book Group at which we discussed The Maiden by Kate Foster (I was in a minority by not being overwhelmed by it) and my Place Names of Scotland evening class to follow.

The best part, however, was a visit to the theatre to see an on-stage technical rehearsal for the Sound of Music followed by coffee and cake afterwards. It was fascinating watch the Director at work (on what would have been one her last days in Pitlochry) along with the technical team and the actors on stage. I will be seeing it twice next month - once with the u3a and once with T. It will be interesting to see how the scene we saw today plays on in an actual performance.
