Le Parfait
I had another random day off today… my Tuesday morning shift was cancelled, but I’m really not complaining. We’re back to rain and fog after yesterday’s brief glimpse of sunny weather, so after the school run, I came straight home and hunkered in. A very nice locksmith visited mid-morning to fix our front door, which had a broken gearbox, and later on, I had to head into Canterbury briefly to run an errand for Gubs.
As well as catching up with some gaming, I spent a few enjoyable hours putting together another still-life composition for my daily photo. Hunting for a subject—I figured Donkey needed a break—I found an old mason jar in the kitchen and filled it with a few sweets left over from the party at the weekend. I used the lightpad and a Smallrig LED panel behind the jar to illuminate the sweets. I needed a bit more of a glow, so I also placed a Smallrig cube light on top of the jar. Finally, a second LED panel directly above the set created some front lighting to highlight the wording on the side of the jar. The lens attached to the phone in the behind-the-scenes photo is a Moment 75mm T-series macro.
