Musing of a Lady

Little Man and I had a quiet day. We stayed home this morning and had a quiet start to the week. Little Man is doing well and is very happy.

We went to a friend, Marije, for afternoon coffee and a play date for Little Man. We stayed with Marije the weekend we moved into our new home. She has two boys who are the same age as Little Man. The boys had a lot of fun together.

We couldn't stay long as it was due to rain, and heavily, I didn't want to get soaked on the short walk home. As we walked home, we stopped for a quick photo opportunity. I wanted to get a photo of our new home. The little white house is ours. It's the only white one on this section of the street. We're very happy with our home.

On a side note, it's Rememberance Day in the United Kingdom, but a day that is completely overlooked in the Netherlands. The Netherlands were natural during World War One and were occupied by the Nazis during the Second World War. Many of my grandparents' generation still remember the occupation and for my Oma (my dad's mum), it was a time of pain and trauma. She never talked about it and everything I know about what happened to her and our family, I heard from my dad. We can't forget those who fought for freedom and gave their lives in the fight, but we can't forget the pain and suffering that the war caused.
