Poppy

I know I put up a backblip recently but this one is best put up on the day.

Thwarted!  Yesterday I wanted a shot of the village cross with the wreaths of poppies for my blip.  No chance too many people getting in the way and families of scouts and guides being photographed in front of them.  No problem i will do it tomorrow I thought.  thwarted again.  When I was in the village the village was absolutely heaving, there was a large funeral, the car park was full and cars were parked everywhere.

So to mark the actual remembrance day i.e. the eleventh day of the eleventh month I have taken a shot of a poppy from an arrangement of a poppy from the tower of London and a silk poppy along with some leaves added to them as a Christmas decoration years ago.
