REMEMBRANCE
Had to be up early this morning as was expecting a phone call from my GP at 8.30am. I wasn't expecting it to be at 8.30am though as the last time I had an 8.30am call booked it finally came through at 11.30am. However this morning the phone rang at 8.33am. The call was about the painkillers the doc had prescribed a couple of months ago I told him they were helping with the pain but not as much as they did when I first started taking them So he's prescribed new tablets at double the dose. And he will ring back in a month to see how I'm getting on with them. Then I went back to bed for a few hours.
When I got up again it was really sunny. A lovely change from the gloomy weather we had last week. However when I went outside to feed the birds I realised it was quite cold. So I wrapped up warmly when I went down to the village.
First stop was the War Memorial to get my Mono Monday blip.. the theme is 'remembrance '. I took shots of both sides. There was a parade in the village yesterday as well as a service and wreath laying at the Memorial. Ive seen lots of photos on Facebook and it was very well attended. Thanks to jensphotos for hosting the challenge.
I also took photos of some of the other remembrance displays- a cross and some poppies on a tree near St Marys Church, a tub of flowers with personal crosses and the postbox topper outside Tesco. See Extras.
Next I went to the chemist to pick up my new tablets. Then to the greengrocers - mainly to chat to the owner about the match yesterday. I did get some tomatoes though. Then to Tesco and Herons.... and then home. By this time it was dark.
