Autumn

A walk with Meg in the park behind the house this morning. Fallen leaves aplenty. I used to walk through here on my way to school fifty years ago. Doesn’t seem that long ago.

Mum has had a much better day today. Altogether brighter, more mentally agile. My nephew Mike came over from Oxford for the day, full of laughter and stories. I cooked a roast lunch and B and M having reassembled the dining table in the front sitting room (mum currently sleeping in the back room) we all sat down together to eat. Most of us had a snooze after … well mum and I certainly did!

Jamie cooked up tomato and red pepper soup for tea and he also had fun looking through some of mums photos from long ago with her.

Altogether a lovely day.
