Oswestry Remembrance Parade

F and I went to the Oswestry Remembrance Parade this morning.  It was led by the Porthywaen Silver Band and had veterans, local politicians and our MP, local groups and organisations.

It has always been a big thing in my family as my mum's brother was killed when the Lancaster bomber that he was in crashed on their own airfield. My mum and grandparents never recovered from it.

I was in the Brownies section (extra), F from belly dancing carried the wreath for ex Wrens and our friend E carried the wreath representing U3A. There was a short service at the Memorial Gates, the 2 minutes silence and laying of wreaths before marching back to the Town Hall.

This evening O  and family came for a meal, it waslovely to see them.
