Hareshaw Linn

I've had a very active day. It started at 7:30am with a run from the house to Warden and back again, mostly along the River Tyne.

Then, after breakfast, we set off by car for Bellingham for a walk to Hareshaw Linn waterfall (blipped). After the walk, we took a break for tea and scones/teacake at Tea on the train* (in the new carriage - not the old one we sat in on 21st February last year) and a quick look around the heritage centre.

When we returned to Hexham, I hoped that I might have a chance to visit the embroidery exhibition at the abbey that walkingMarj recommended to us on Friday. Mr hazelh and I walked into town from the house, but arrived two minutes before the exhibition closed for the day. Still, this extra walk added to today's impressive step count.

On the last night of our holiday we'll be enjoying a lovely meal cooked by our hostess and a couple of glasses of wine.

*Unfortunately I left my hat behind in the railway carriage. We will return to collect it tomorrow on our way to meeting my not-so-little sister and Mummy hazelh.

Exercise today: 90 minute run; walking (30,042 steps including run).
