Leaving Nelson

Day 28
The last morning in the Nelson area was warm and sunny. A leisurely breakfast with friends, then a bit of time to pack and get ready for my evening flight to Auckland. We had a walk to the shops and galleries in Upper Moutere and found a couple of nice mugs to take home.
After some lunch with the friends, we headed into Nelson to look around, it’s not the most picturesque town, but it’s in a beautiful setting. We had arranged to meet another friend, she’s moved 4 times since we saw her 8 years ago, it’s in a lovely spot overlooking the city, surrounded by lots of trees. Unfortunately we only had one hour to catch up before Mr S dropped me off at Nelson airport. My flight was 1.5 hours, then at 21.00 my friend Yoka picked me up at Auckland Airport. We went to bed quite late, catching up on everything. Her son is staying with us at the moment in Switzerland.
