Getting my crafty on

I have had this heart shaped piece of cedar wood hanging outside for a long time. Sometimes I put some dried flowers in it to decorate it but mostly it just hung there.

A friend posted a grapevine wreath on her Facebook page with a deer horn, feathers and greenery that got me thinking. I had the horn and feathers so off to the craft store to buy the cheapest greenery. I could have used the real pine and holly but then it would not last.

This morning I got to work. Wired the horn with some florist wire I had, got out the hot glue gun for the rest. The hot glue was not working great so I found some little fence wire staple like things in the shed. I looked for the industrial stapler but the man had it hidden somewhere. Never underestimate a determined craft woman. The fence wire staples worked great. I only hammered my finger one time!

I will add some red for Christmas. I might have something in my Christmas decoration box.
