On the lean
JJ went off to golf with No. 1 grandson, so I donned my walking gear and headed over the ridge and down to the river. It was very quiet and I only came across two litter pickers, two chaps walking their dog and a runner.
As I walked alongside a small wood I could hear a couple of those wretched parakeets squawking in the tree-tops. They are gradually working their way up country.
Back home I had a sneaky cider followed by lunch and then went over the back with the slasher, cutting back some of the willow herb, which is intertwined with brambles and convulvulous. Feeling a little shattered now and waiting for JJ to come home and then I’ll get dinner.
