The eyes have it!

I’ve been meaning to visit the back to back houses in Birmingham run by the National Trust for ages, finally did it today having booked one of the last few tickets for the day earlier in the week. It’s very popular! It’s a set of houses, there were 11 originally, packed together and sharing a courtyard. Common housing for the working classes in the 19th century in the city. Very interesting. Up and down through three of the houses covering families who lived there at different times. Blip is of a tray of artificial eyes, made by one of the occupants. These were for taxidermy. There was a tray for human false eyes too. The extra shows a few more pictures. Great piece of history.
