All I need for Christmas!
I took this from the window of our post production house Flying Colour Company as I popped in there to help with Bafta submissions (notoriously complicated) To be fair they were there for the turning on of the Carnaby St Christmas lights which really heralds the start of Christmas shopping and this particular evening normally has a good turn out. My friends in FCC were a bit sniffy about the new management company of the area and said the lights are a significant drop from the usual sophisticated Carnaby St look. I will reserve judgement until they are switched on but the last few years here have been spectacular.
I went up to London to get hair done and then stayed to have this conversation.
In the evening I went to a Bafta screening of Kinds of Kindness, the Yorgos L follow up to Poor Things. It was a very long trilogy and I skipped before the final film as I didn’t know anyone in the audience (so I couldn’t be judged!). I had got the point and will watch the final one online on Bafta view. I also didn’t want to get home tooooo late.
This is the time of year we watch a lot more films as it is bafta screening time.
