Cosmos

My sister and BIL dropped by early this morning. We had a nice visit. I took care of the birds and flower planters still outside. They look good; our fall weather has been incredibly balmy this year. We need rain though. I took a walk around our neighborhood. These cosmos survived the summer heat and brightened up our neighbor’s wildflower garden. The bees were out in force trying to collect the last nectar. Hubby had some errands to run on base and in town. I started the Christmas spreadsheet. It takes awhile to set it up. Tomorrow, I’ll gather everything I have bought so far and type it into the sheets. Otherwise, it has been a quiet day. Mancil will come by after work for a visit. He will deliver a small “thinking of you” gift from my sister and me to my nephew and his fiance. They still don’t have updates on the fire source. No idea what I am making for dinner. Just hope I have all the needed ingredients once I make a decision. Wishing you a more organized evening. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting. “Autumn lingered on as if fond of its own perfection.” — Winston Graham, “Ross Poldark”
