Singing His Heart Out
I did not fall asleep until after 4:00 am. Somehow, I was awake by 7:15 am. Hubby and I went down to breakfast and this young man was outside singing by the fire pit. The weather was balmy so I am sure he was quite comfortable. He was having a great time singing and strumming his pink guitar. I really wanted to go out and listen. Just wasn’t sure if he’d be comfortable with an audience. We were on the road by 8:30. I stayed awake much longer than I expected I would. We stopped to fill the fuel tank in Virginia; gas is much cheaper there than in Maryland. We also bought those groceries you need every day. We were home by 12:30 pm. Hubby and I worked together to empty the SUV and put everything away. He is taking a much needed nap and I am not far behind him. So, another vacation is in the books and I thank God we arrived home safely. We had a few close calls each time we were on the road, mostly drivers cutting right in front of us with no previous indicators. Crazy drivers. Wishing you safe travels. Thanks for stopping by. “Singing connects the mind with the heart and the heart with the soul.” – Neha Dhingra
