What A Racket

I stepped out the front door (into the lovely warm sunlight) and thought there was a wasps nest being built in the hedge from the loud buzzing.
Despite having a  good look I couldn't see anything ..... then I was showered with small yellow petals.
Looking up into the Mahonia could see loads of honey bees.
Obviously they were taking advantage of the last of the flowers in the warmth.
So I nipped inside and grabbed the camera and tried to gat a shot of the swarm.
I wasn't successful and the best I managed was 2 in the same shot (in the 2nd of the 4 shots HERE). Mind you, they were about 12' up and not hanging about.

We got a message saying that the new settee would be delivered between 1 and 3pm - so I set too dismantling the old one and taking it outside, where it was fully taken apart ready for being taken to the tip tomorrow.
The van turned up about 1.20pm and it took the two lads under 20 minutes to unload the boxes, find that the doors were a fraction too narrow to get them through, open the boxes, bring the contents in, assemble both the settee and the chair, get my signature and leave.
Polite, efficient and humorous.
They got an excellent revue on the website.
