“New curtains” and Maisie’s extra pheasant.
Up and out at first light wasn’t an option this morning, but we were skipping through the verdant pastures not too long after.
Vivienne and Maisie must have set out on their daily walk simultaneously, we strolled along at Vivienne’s pace stopping every now and again to snip off a bramble sucker and prevent it from totally strangling the stock fence.
As soon as Dippy and Maisie had completed their amorous greeting Maisie selected overdrive and headed off on her own adventure.we could hear the terrified pheasant population informing each other of the oncoming four legged menace.
Nearing the end of the walk we bumped into Luna, a Labrador x Staffordshire Bull Terrier whose owners were on their honeymoon and was being cared for by their parents.
Breakfast was enjoyed and consisted of diced persimmon, cherry pie filling and banana with remnants of a pot of single cream, this was accompanied by two slices of rye bread toast and butter.
I then cleaned the car and Amadeus using the small pressure washer I had purchased on Tuesday, very effective considering that it only cost £15 (previous owner bought it without realising that an out door tap would be imperative in her situation. :(
More general tidying up and a high protein lunch before heading to a one to one Pilates session, one of the most productive days with Paul at Pure Pilates yet. A swift wander through town where for £2 in total I found some essential kitchen utensils in a charity shop (butchers steel, flexible silicone spatula, nonstick baking tin and a quality wooden spoon) Watch this space;)
A short drive to Treyhill to collect some laminate flooring which Alice and Brandon had kindly offered me for to use on the van floor. It was lovely to see them and Dippy’s sister Luna with grandma Tess looking on from a safe distance.
Back for another portion of my duck casserole which I bolstered with some purple sprouting broccoli, celery and one of the venison sausages I purchased the other day.
I then made my way to my first ever choir “practice” with a local choir consisting of eight male and 50 female singers. I was made feel very welcome and enjoyed 2 hours of choral mindfulness and fun where the time flew by.
Back to base for a warm beverage before climbing into the bed I had prepared ready earlier.
Zzzzzzzzz.
