New sign

We've just received a new sign to put out for our Saturday coffee mornings. It is always well attended by locals and others who get to know it's there but we decided it might be nice to know for people passing on the road at the end of the lane. The intention is to put it on the corner by the main road, which is never busy but does get passing traffic especially in the summer. A bit late for this year but we do get cyclists and motor cyclists passing through much of the year. Anyway the sign is lovely so we're happy to display it.
This Saturday was a different one, bacon butties followed by cups of tea for people arriving for a lunch time church service. A well respected local sheep farmer recently died suddenly and today was his funeral. It was held at the crematorium during the morning but that was followed by a service at the local church. Our church is quite small so extra seats were brought in from a neighbouring village hall and our hall was also set up with a sound system for overflow seating for the church service. There were 400+ people in attendance many of them sheep farmers from other counties, including Clive Owen, of "Our Yorkshire Farm" fame. It was a wonderful celebration of his life and love of sheep.
